The Zookeepers Health

So, I have been working with my doctor to figure out what is going on with my "heartburn" that I have been experienceing for a long time. After lots of doctor visits, the current diagnosis is that I have gall stones. I have a surgurens appointment to get it removed. I have named it Keith. I am hoping to keep it for memories.

I have had my red spot removed. The doctor had is looked at to see if there was more to take out. They were able to get all the cancer removed the first time. That makes me very happy. So I am currently cancer free. But will have a two inch scar on my neck. The picture below is the wound after the surgery. This was done on March 20, 2009. I get to have the stitches removed on April 3rd. There are 15 stitches on the outside. But there are internal stitches that will take a couple of months to dissolve.

ugh....the weather is changing...its getting hotter...

i am hungry...where is the zookeeper???

guess i am going to sleep in the corner where its cool.

Roary
so the other dogs are driving me crazy. the backdoor neighbor is trying to come into my territory. i am trying to scare him away, but he just is not listening. guess i need to be more aggressive with my request. then roary says the weather's changing and the crazy zoo keeper is opening the front door. now i got to protect the front. boy oh boy those people need to stay away from my yard. i warn them but that crazy lady eeps yelling at me. doesn't she understand, i am trying to keep our home safe???

Schein'nnee
so the zookeeper has been keeping close to the zoo recently. i think she misses me. although she has wierd hours. up earl and gone late in the day. then she stays away till way after the sun goes down and dinner time as passed. when she comes home she feeds us and goes to bed. i miss her a lot. i just want to be near her. i try but she groans at me llike she hurts. so i stay close but not touching. the girls just ignore her like always but i am concerned that she's ok.

i am hanging out in the backyard cuz i am not sure what's going on. i am not feeling well. the zookeeper is trying to help me, but she is not sure what is going on. she's going to have to take me to that place where they stick things where they don't belong.

So, its the middle of March and I have not up-dated the blog.

the past month and half has been crazy! i went to NY for SnoFun. but before i went, i got sick. it was the stomach, heartburn pain that has been happened before. So i went to the doctor and got put on medicine for a possible ulcer. Had a great time at SnoFun. Definately interested in returning in the future. i don't have pictures of me there. But I fell on my a** in the snow. it was great!!

On the medical side, i have been to the doctor more often in the past month and half then in my whole life. I went to Urgent Care for the heartburn thing. Then did a follow-up with a PCP. This doctor was awesome. She talked to me and listened to what I was saying. Then she looked at my redspot and got mad. She referred me to a dermatologist for possible skin cancer. She prescribed me some medicine for the heartburn, which she thinks is an ulcer. I am not happy about that, but content that there is a simple solution. I followed up with the dermatologist. He did a biopsy on my redspot and another spot on my shoulder. I am calling him on Monday to find out the results. he is not concerned about the shoulder spot, but thinks the redspot in cancer (although not melenoma). When I have the final report, I will post the results here. I go back to my PCP on Tuesday for a physical. I am hoping to have her take care of some back pain that I have had for a couple of weeks. Other then all the medical stuff, I am doing well.

We just went to Spring Break. I taught a WSI class for Surprise. It was a good class. i am glad it is done. I look forward to the summer. I am demoting myselcf to an Assistant Manager and only working during swim lessons, hoping to focus on Adaptive lessons. We will see how things roll when the time comes.

Beau, Schein'nnee, and Roary are doing great. Beau has been klingy this week, but that has a lot to do with my schedule changing. Schein'nnee is content to get the love when ever I give it out. Roary has her space and doesn't seem to be affected by my presence. I hope to have some pictures up next week. But there are not a lot of stuff going on.

The zoo is calling. They say, "It's time for bed." so i am signing off and going to bed.
